최근 뱀파이어영화 트왈라잇을 선두로, 선혈이 낭자한 티비시리즈물 뱀파이어까지.... 미국은 뱀파이어 열풍에 휩싸여 있네요.

고전적인 주제와 현대적인 흐름을 고루갖추고 심지어 아름답게 만들어진 뱀파이어 영화를 한편 보면 사람들이 왜 좋아하는지 알듯죠 하죠.

여주인공 벨라는 피닉스고등학교에서 세련된것하곤 거리면 여고생으로 지내고 있었는데 엄마가 재혼을 하게되어 아빠가 사는 워싱턴의 작은 마을로 이사를 보내지죠. 벨라도 뭔가 바뀔거라는 큰 기대는 하지 않았답니다. 그런데 벨라가 한번도 만나본적이 없는 신비스럽고 현기증날정도 아름다운 에드워드를 만나게 됩니다. 에드워드가 뱀파이어죠, 송곳니도 없고 그 에드워드 가족은 사람피는 마시지 않는 특이한 가족이기는 하지만요. 지적이고 현명한 에드워드가 벨라의 영혼에 빠져들죠....
